I'm an American woman of the "Sandwich Generation" who is challenging myself to make better use of my time. In 2012, I began recalibrating my life, seeking to allocate my time in accordance with the priorities of my heart: God, family, friends, interests. I plugged back into my church and joined a few ministries; I spend more quality time with family and friends; I eat more healthily and exercise regularly. To help myself develop a habit of writing regularly, I began the blog Write-Minded Woman. All of these efforts have reaped benefits, but it's an on-going process. My longtime companions Procrastination and Distractions continue to sabotage my progress.
So why begin another blog, despite failing to publish my first one weekly as I'd intended? Because the most important of all my priorities is to grow my relationship with God. Sometimes I really want to delve into spiritual issues and struggles. MY issues and struggles. And maybe note some of those "Aha!" moments. This place is dedicated to that.
I have a long history of attempting to develop healthy practices with highly motivated sprints that quickly fizzle into sputters. God and I may be the only ones who ever read this, and He already knew what I would write before my fingers hit the keyboard. But, that's okay.
If you're not God and you're reading this, I hope you've read something that blesses you.
